As the focused laser energy gets absorbed by the veins, the heat causes the walls of the veins to collapse without affecting the surrounding healthy skin. Over the course of 1 to 2 weeks, the body expels the broken vessels from underneath the skin. As the broken capillaries fade the skin becomes clear and even skin toned.
